Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan is holding talks with the U.S. on the general terms of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) transportation network development project.

"TRIPP Company is an Armenian-American joint venture that will be registered in Armenia and will be authorized to develop the necessary infrastructure of railways and roads, oil and gas pipelines, and fiber-optic cables," Nikol Pashinyan said.

According to him, they will move to the implementation and construction phase in 2026.

The PM stressed that the implementation of this project will create additional interconnections and interdependencies in the region, becoming another important factor in promoting peace.

"The TRIPP project has every chance of becoming an important component of the Middle Corridor, ensuring unimpeded communication between Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia," Pashinyan said.

The agreement on the TRIPP project was reached between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the U.S. in Washington on August 8.
