Astrakhan region starts first beef exports to Uzbekistan

Astrakhan beef exports to Uzbekistan began in October 2025, with the first shipment currently en route, according to TASS.

"The truck has already crossed the border into Kazakhstan",

the Astrakhan region's Ministry of Agriculture reported.

The consignment consists of approximately sixty cattle carcasses.

The ministry announced two certified livestock export facilities for cattle and sheep will become operational in Limansky and Narimanov districts by year's end, targeting CIS nations and Persian Gulf markets.
