Alexey Frolov, head of the Ural Customs Department (UCD), reported that mills in the Urals have expanded exports across multiple product categories since the beginning of 2025.

Overall exports grew by 10%, reaching 40,000 tons. Certain products saw particularly strong demand: wheat flour exports increased by 3% by volume, rice flour tripled, corn flour rose by 15%, and oat flour and oatmeal surged by 60%.

The most substantial export growth occurred in East Asian and Middle Eastern markets. Ural oatmeal has seen particularly strong demand in Azerbaijan, China, and Vietnam.
