Azerbaijan cuts investment in Uzbekistan

Azerbaijani investment in Uzbekistan has decreased threefold. In H1 2025, its amount fell by over 68%, to $21.4 mln.

Azerbaijan has significantly reduced direct investment in Uzbekistan's economy. In H1 2025, its amount fell by 68.2%, to $21.4 million, which is $45.9 million less than in the same period of a previous year.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan's share of the country's total investment was 1.6%, and by investment volume, Uzbekistan ranked 10th among the countries receiving Azerbaijani investment. In H1 2024, investment volume reached $67.4 mln.
