Outbound tourism from Azerbaijan decreased by 2.6% in the first eleven months of 2025. According to the State Statistical Committee, just over 1.9 million Azerbaijani citizens traveled internationally during this period.
The data shows that Türkiye is the most popular destination, receiving 42% of Azerbaijani travelers, followed by Russia (14.4%) and Georgia (11%). The majority of outbound tourists were men, with women constituting just over 36% of travelers.
Georgia registered the strongest growth, attracting 20% more visitors from Azerbaijan compared to the previous year. Tourist flow to Iran also increased by nearly 7%.
Air travel was the preferred mode of transport, used by approximately 70% of travelers, while just over 28% opted for train travel.
