Azerbaijan reports tourism sector surplus for three quarters

Revenue from the tourism industry exceeded related expenditures by $320 million during the first three quarters of the year.

The data was presented by Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, during a briefing on the country's balance of payments.

Central Bank officials attributed the surplus primarily to the significant increase in tourist arrivals, with nearly two million foreign nationals visiting the country in the reporting period.
