Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone call with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday evening, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The discussions focused on Azerbaijan-U.S. cooperation, prospects for a "Strategic Partnership Charter," regional developments, and the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, including implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).
Bayramov conveyed Azerbaijan's position on Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and the prospects for a peaceful settlement.
The sides discussed additional “confidence-building measures” to advance peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus, while lauding “positive developments” in U.S.-Azerbaijani ties.
