Earthquake hits Caspian Sea-on Wednesday

A 3.6-magnitude earthquake hit the Caspian Sea on Wednesday, according to the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

The earthquake, at a depth of 56 kilometers, was recorded at 10:10 local time.

On March 16, two earthquakes also occurred in the Caspian Sea. The tremor, measured at a magnitude of 3.3, struck at a depth of 74 km. Earlier reports had recorded the earthquake at a magnitude of 3.1 at the same depth.
