An earthquake occurred in northwestern Georgia, the Seismic Monitoring Center of the republic reported on August 20.
The magnitude of the tremors was 3.5. They were registered near the city of Senaki (Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region) at 18:39 local time (17:39 Moscow time)
The quake's hypocenter was at a depth of 5,000 meters, and the epicenter was located 6 km from the village of Sagunio.
No casualties or damages have been reported following the seismic event.
