An earthquake was recorded in southern Iran this morning, according to the Seismological Directorate of the University of Tehran.
The earthquake was recorded at 8:41 a.m. local time, with its epicenter located in the Asaluyeh district.
The quake's hypocenter was located at a depth of 18 km.
No casualties or damage have been recorded.
The seismic event occurred in a region, where Iran's first nuclear power plant is being built. This project isimplemented with Rosatom's participation.
