A freight train carrying oil products for Armenia departed from the Böyük-Kesik railway station in Azerbaijan's Aghstafa region yesterday's evening.
Operated by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, the train comprises 22 tanker wagons carrying a total of 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline.
The fuel will be delivered to Armenia via Georgia, according to the Report news agency.
Thus, yesterday SOCAR began supplying Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia for the first time.
The transit follows Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's decision in October 2025 to lift restrictions on cargo shipments to Armenia via Georgian territory.
