Georgian authorities will begin modernization of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway in 2026. Construction of a terminal in Akhalkalaki is also planned.
Georgian Railways CEO Lasha Abashidze announced that the country's authorities will begin modernization of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway next year.
"Starting next year, we will begin actively improving the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway,”
