Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili highlighted the importance of dialogue with Azerbaijan, describing the country as one of Georgia's key partners. She stressed Tbilisi's commitment to sustaining top-level contacts with Azerbaijan to address bilateral economic and political matters.

"We have a very important bilateral agenda with this country (Azerbaijan - the editor's note), and it is important that issues related to political and economic relations between our countries be discussed at the highest level. Azerbaijan is an important partner for Georgia, and these close relations also require daily high-level political dialogue",

Maka Bochorishvili said.

The statement follows a meeting today between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov in Turkmenistan, where they discussed a broad range of issues for deepening bilateral cooperation.
