The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing, announced the recovery of two deceased Israeli hostages during debris clearance operations in Gaza.
"The Al-Qassam Brigades will transfer two hostage bodies recovered today in Gaza at 21:00 local time (coinciding with Moscow time) as part of the exchange agreement",
the group stated.
Israel and Hamas began implementing the Gaza peace plan on October 10. In accordance with the plan, Hamas returns surviving captives and the bodies of the deceased hostages while Israel withdraws military units and releases Palestinian detainees, though Tel Aviv has expressed dissatisfaction with Hamas' pace of implementation of the first phase of the agreements.
