Iran's military is prepared to block shipping through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Red Sea in the event of an escalation with the USA, informed sources told The Wall Street Journal.
The IRGC could act if Washington intensifies strikes or considers a ground invasion, according to the sources.
Tehran may attempt to close the strait and the sea, including by attacking ships, the sources said.
