Iran is terminating its engagement with the IAEA and postponing implementation of their previously established agreement, according to Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

"The Cairo agreement is currently suspended, and we have ceased cooperation with the IAEA on nuclear program issues",

Aragchi said.

Iran's Foreign Minister emphasized that any international organization's request to continue cooperation must first undergo review by Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

The Foreign Minister left open the possibility of returning to the agreement if fair proposals guaranteeing Iranian national rights emerge and the IAEA's role in reaching a solution is clearly defined.

The now-suspended agreement, signed September 9 by Araghchi and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, outlined practical safeguards implementation and granted inspectors full access to nuclear facilities damaged in recent strikes.
