Israel protested the appointment of Palestinian politicians to the Gaza Peace Council Executive Committee without Tel Aviv's approval. In this regard, a call was announced from Foreign Minister Gideon Saar to the United States.
The press service of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office expressed a negative assessment of the composition of the Palestinian body that will implement the Peace Council's orders in the Gaza Strip, the Gaza Executive Committee, that was published on the US White House website.
The office emphasized that Washington neither approved the composition in coordination with Tel Aviv, nor did it agree on the timing of its publication.
