Israel transfers bodies of 30 more Palestinians to Gaza

Israeli authorities have returned 30 bodies of Palestinians who died in detention since the October 2023 escalation to Gaza, according to an October 16 statement from Palestinian semi-enclave officials.

A total of 120 bodies have been handed over so far.

"The procedure took place in three stages: 45 bodies of the dead were handed over on Tuesday, 45 on Wednesday and 30 on Thursday, including dozens of unidentified bodies",

the press service of the authorities reported.

The transfer follows Hamas' earlier handover of nine deceased hostages' bodies to Israel this week.

Let us recall that the truce agreement in the Gaza Strip was signed on October 13 in Egypt.
