Russia's main priority in the South Caucasus region is peace, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
"Our priorities have never changed. They are peace and cooperation - and they remain the same today," Sergey Lavrov said.
The Russian FM recalled that the recent agreements between Azerbaijan and Armenia, concluded during the visit of the leaders of the two countries to the U.S., evolve from the trilateral agreement reached in 2020-2022 between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The diplomat stressed that the agreement reached by Baku and Yerevan in Washington on August 8 is the sovereign right of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
