Financial support for civil society in Georgia has increased twofold and is expected to rise further, as stated by European Commission spokesperson Marta Kos.

Kos also highlighted the EU's commitment to transfer funds in a manner that does not adversely affect Georgian civil society, although she acknowledged that this is a difficult process.
