The situation regarding pharmaceutical pricing has stabilized since the introduction of the price cap, according to Irakli Margvelashvili, head of the Association of Representatives of International Pharmaceutical Companies.
"As of November, 2,594 medicines were listed. This constitutes roughly 40% of all medications available in Georgia and has resulted in a price reduction of approximately 30-40% for the majority of them",
Irakli Margvelashvili stated.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze had previously indicated that the pharmaceutical sector would be subject to similar price controls as the food sector.
