Minor earthquake hits Sochi’s Lazarevsky District

Today, Sochi residents and visitors to the Kuban resort city witnessed an earthquake in the western district of the city. The natural disaster caused no casualties or damage.

Tremors were felt in Sochi today, with the strongest of them witnessed by residents of the Lazarevsky District around 1:00 PM.

According to seismologists, it was a minor earthquake. Its source was 10 kilometers below the surface of Sochi, and epicenter located approximately 8 kilometers north of the Lazarevsky District.

Experts estimated the earthquake's magnitude at 4.1.
