Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared his intention to prevent the formation of a Palestinian state. The Prime Minister announced it during his visit to the West Bank of the Jordan River.
The Israeli leader emphasized that the territory historically belongs to Israel, stating:
"We are going to fulfil our promise that there will be no Palestinian state. This place belongs to us. We will safeguard our heritage, our land and our security",
Benjamin Netanyahu said.
This follows Israeli Defense Minister's recent ultimatum to Hamas, threatening the group's destruction if it rejects a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
