On November 1, Pakistan has partially reopened its Torkham border crossing to facilitate the return of thousands of stranded Afghan refugees.

According to the Associated Press, restrictions on all other forms of cross-border movement, including trade, remain in place.

The border reopening follows October's deadly clashes between Pakistani and Afghan forces that prompted Islamabad to close all frontier crossings.
