Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has left for China, the presidential administration of Iran reported on August 31.

"Pezeshkian has departed for China to participate in the SCO summit",

As part of the visit, Pezeshkian will attend the SCO summit, which is taking place in Tianjin on August 31 and September 1. Iran's President has scheduled meetings with the leaders of a number of SCO countries. In particular, he will meet with the President of China Xi Jinping.

Let us recall that earlier this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone talks with Masoud Pezeshkian. During the conversation, they discussed cooperation between the two countries in various areas, including energy, as well as the situation around Iran's nuclear program and events in the South Caucasus. They also agreed to hold a meeting at the next SCO summit.
