According to data released by APM Terminals, the port's operator, a total of 636,000 containers were handled in 2025.
This record volume represents a 17% year-on-year increase. The number of cargo vessels serviced also rose, reaching 362.

APM Terminals reported.
Meanwhile, construction continues on Georgia's new deep-water port in Anaklia, which is designed to handle over one million containers annually. Total investment in the project is estimated at $600 million.
