Russia is ready to cooperate closely with the US to seek peace, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, the Russian leader's aide, Yuri Ushakov, announced.
Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov stated that Putin emphasized Moscow's intention to work productively with Washington toward this goal.
Ushakov added that Putin informed Trump about a recent Kiev's drone attack on his residence in the Novgorod region, to which the US President was "outraged".
According to Ushakov, Putin made clear that such terrorist acts would not remain unanswered. Trump indicated that this incident would affect Washington's approach to its dealings with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Furthermore, Ushakov noted, the Russian President warned that Moscow would reconsider its position regarding Kiev's state terrorism.
The two leaders also agreed to maintain a friendly dialogue.
