U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to visit Israel later this week, Axios reported.
The U.S. official also confirmed The Times of Israel that Rubio will most likely arrive on October 23, though the trip has not yet been finalized.
The trip will focus on supporting the successful implementation of Washington’s ceasefire plan in Gaza, according to the official.
Rubio’s visit would follow those of US Vice President JD Vance and envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who arrived in Israel this week to advance the implementation of the US-backed Gaza ceasefire plan.
