Russia and Azerbaijan working to improve ties - Overchuk

Moscow and Baku intend to enhance their economic collaboration, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said.

According to the deputy PM, both sides recognize the importance of their growing economic ties.

He recalled that Russia and Azerbaijan held an intergovernmental commission meeting.

"We noted from both sides that our cooperation is developing. The cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan is very important for both our countries, and we are working to improve these relations," Overchuk said.

The recent session of the Russia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission took place on August 22, 2025, in Astrakhan.
