Russia awaits response on proposal to fund Board of Peace - Peskov

The Kremlin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian authorities have not yet received a response to the proposal to allocate $1 billion from frozen Russian assets for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

"So far, we have not heard any public reaction on this matter",

Dmitry Peskov said.

This follows President Vladimir Putin's earlier announcement about the potential provision of $1 billion from frozen Russian assets to the Board of Peace. This issue was also discussed during a meeting between Putin and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Moscow.
