The Russian Consulate General will soon begin operating in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, Alexey Klimov, Director of the Consular Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said.

Klimov said.
The agreement to establish the consulate general was signed in May 2025 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Russia is also working to open consular offices in the cities of Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, Klimov shared in an interview with RIA Novosti.
