Russian investments in Uzbekistan reach $4.8 billion

Russia and Uzbekistan are developing investment cooperation. Russian investments in Uzbek economy last year totaled $4.8 billion, according to media reports.

According to Uzbek authorities, China leads with $15.5 billion invested in the Uzbek economy, while Russia is the second-largest investor.

The total influx of foreign investment into the country exceeded $43 billion.

This follows recent reports that Uzbekistan's GDP surpassed $145 billion for the first time last year.
