September becomes most popular month for Russian tourists in Turkey

Russian tourists were the largest group of visitors to Antalya in September. Tourist arrivals from Russia to Turkey increased by nearly 6.5% in the first month of autumn.

September was the top month for Antalya in terms of tourist flow from Russia, according to data from the Antalya culture and tourism authority.

Over 642,500 Russian tourists arrived in Antalya in September, representing a 6.4% increase compared to the same month last year. Germany ranked second, with 497,700 visitors (a 5.9% increase), while Poland came in a distant third with 194,000 tourists, slightly fewer than the previous year.

In total, Antalya hosted 2,388,585 tourists in September, which is only a 2.1% increase over the previous year's figure.

It is worth noting that tourist flow from Russia had already grown by 5.8% in August and 3.4% in July. This makes September's growth rate the highest among all the peak season months.
