An earthquake struck the Caspian Sea today, the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) reported.

According to the scientific institution, a 3,5-magnitude earthquake occurred at 5:36 a.m. local time (4:36 a.m. Moscow time).

The earthquake's hypocenter was located at a depth of 45 km.
