Tokayev to pay state visit to Russia on November 12

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has confirmed the date of his upcoming state visit to Russia.

Speaking at the Russia–Central Asia summit, Tokayev stated he would travel to Russia on November 12.

The Kazakh leader proposed launching a joint investment and infrastructure program for the eastern branch of the North–South Corridor, suggesting the parties discuss the project ahead of his Moscow visit.

"We will be able to involve international financial institutions, development banks, and investment funds in this initiative. Kazakh and Russian government agencies could discuss this project in detail ahead of my visit to Russia on November 12",

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

According to Tokayev, Russia remains an ally and strategic partner of Kazakhstan.
