Speaking ahead of his September 16 visit to the United Kingdom, Trump emphasized that European nations should stop buying Russian oil.
"And Europe should stop buying oil from Russia. You know, they say, but they should stop buying oil from the Russian Federation,"
the US President said.
Earlier in September, Reuters reported that Donald Trump had spoken with European officials, urging them to end purchases of Russian-origin oil.
This latest statement follows Trump's previous comments advocating for tougher EU sanctions against Russia.
