Türkiye to ensure security in Syria, Recep Tayyip Erdogan promises

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking at the UN, declared his readiness to support Syria's security.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke in support of Syria at the UN General Assembly. The head of state stated that Ankara will make efforts to ensure security in the Arab Republic and take counterterrorism measures.

"As stability in Syria strengthens, the true beneficiaries will undoubtedly be the Syrian people, neighboring countries, and our entire region. I would also like to thank the brotherly Gulf countries for their contribution to the reconstruction of Syria,”

– Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said.

The Turkish leader also called for the recognition of Palestine. Erdoğan addressed this message to the UN to states that have not recognized Palestine. The head of state expressed disappointment at the absence of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the UN General Assembly.
