U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived in Israel on Sunday, September 14, for an official visit. He is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his stay.

Ahead of his trip, Secretary Rubio stated that the USA is displeased with the Israeli Air Force strikes conducted in Doha earlier this week.

Nevertheless, Rubio emphasized that this incident would not affect US-Israeli relations.

"What's happened, happened. We're going to meet with them. We’re going to talk about what the future holds",

Marco Rubio said.

US Secretary of State also highlighted that 48 Israeli hostages remain held by the radical Hamas movement and should be released immediately.

In addition to this, he pointed out that following the conclusion of military operations in the Gaza Strip, significant efforts will be required for the enclave's reconstruction.

It should be recalled that on September 9, the Israeli Air Force targeted senior Hamas officials in Doha, resulting in at least six reported fatalities.
