The US Treasury Department announced new sanctions against entities and individuals linked to Iran, with the updated list including 16 companies and persons connected to systems designed to circumvent international restrictions.
"Iranian entities rely on shadow banking networks to evade sanctions and transfer millions through the international financial system",
the US Treasury Department reported.
According to Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, Washington will continue disrupting financial channels supporting Iran's Armed Forces.
The sanctions list includes individuals affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and those conducting business with Alpa Trading — FZCO.
