A conflict between supporters of the ruling Georgian Dream party and students occurred today in the Georgian capital near Tbilisi University after the prime minister gave a lecture and left the building.

A broil took place near the building of Tbilisi State University between the youth movement, which supports the ruling Georgian Dream party, and students opposing the law on foreign agents.

The conflict occurred after the Prime Minister of the Republic, Irakli Kobakhidze, who reads a course on constitutional law at the university, left the university building.

Over the past month, the prime minister’s lectures have been taking place against the backdrop of street protests near the TSU building.

Earlier protests near the university also ended in clashes between protesters and party supporters.
