This year, trade turnover between Russia and Oman may set a new record and be higher than last year. Supplies of Russian grain to Oman may increase, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Reshetnikov, said.
"Last year, mutual trade turnover reached a 10-year high, but at the same, time we see that this is not its full potential. Russia is ready to increase supplies of agricultural products, primarily all grain and livestock products",
the minister said.
The Russian Federation is also interested in cooperation with Oman in the production sector, investment projects, energy, and logistics.
"Oman, of course, has a unique geographical position. In fact, it is a center for cross-border transportation and servicing flows in the North-South direction. It is one of the central projects now and one of the main logistics routes that our country is developing",
the minister said.
