Sergey Lavrov and Jeyhun Bayramov hold phone talks

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation on August 23, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

Lavrov and Bayramov discussed a number of issues on the Azerbaijani-Russian bilateral agenda, as well as regional and international security, by telephone.

It was noted that the ministers "highly appreciated" the results of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation held in Astrakhan on August 22.

An exchange of views also took place on other issues of mutual interest.
