E3 gives Iran 30 days before reimposing sanctions

European countries have given Iran a month to accept their conditions on the nuclear issue.

The E3 (UK, Germany, France) is ready to restore international sanctions against Iran in a month if Tehran does not make concessions in the nuclear talks, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said.

"After a 30-day period sanctions will be reimposed, and at the second stage, European sanctions may be reimposed, unless, of course, Iran within these 30 days agrees to what we have very clearly stated. Then we could consider the possibility of postponing the introduction of these sanctions,”

– Jean-Noël Barrot said.

According to Barrot, European states are leaving the possibility for a diplomatic settlement.
