Moscow and Beijing conduct joint missile defense drills

Russia and China have conducted joint missile defense exercises, the Chinese Ministry of Defense announced on December 7.

The ministry confirmed the drills were held on Russian territory earlier this month but declined to specify their exact date or disclose further operational details.

"The joint exercise doesn't target any third party and has nothing to do with the current international and regional situation",

China's Ministry of Defense reported.

The announcement follows Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Moscow earlier this week, during which he held a number of meetings.
