China concerned about Doha attack

China strongly condemns Israel's attack in Qatar and firmly opposes Israel's violation of Qatar's territorial sovereignty and national security, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry Lin Jian said.

The spokesman said Beijing was "deeply concerned" about a further escalation of tensions in the region.

"We are deeply concerned that the incident may lead to further escalation of regional tensions," Lin Jian said.

Yesterday, Israel launched strikes on the leadership of Hamas in Doha, the capital of the Gulf state of Qatar.
