Gaza mediators are urging Hamas to accept the US-proposed peace plan, Axios reports, citing sources familiar with the negotiations.

According to Axios, mediators presented details of Trump's proposal to Hamas leaders during the September 29 meeting. Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate Chief Hassan Rashad outlined details of Donald Trump's Gaza plan to the Palestinian movement. Representatives of Qatar and Egypt called on Hamas to reach an agreement and accept the proposed plan. The Qatari Prime Minister noted that it would be impossible to achieve more favorable terms for Hamas. Hamas assured that it intends to "study the proposals" from the United States in good faith.

The second meeting on September 30 included Türkiye's intelligence chief, Ibrahim Kalin.

Trump has given Hamas only a few days to agree to the deal, warning of severe consequences if they refuse.
