Iran has rejected the US demands made by the US side at the Geneva talks, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports, citing sources.
The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that Washington had called for the dismantlement of three Iranian nuclear facilities - located in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan - along with the transfer of all enriched uranium stockpiles to the USA.
However, Iranian officials have urged caution regarding such reports. Elias Hazrati, head of the Government Information Council, stated that the information published in US media "does not correspond to the reality of the negotiations".
"Enrichment will continue in accordance with the needs and nothing will be taken out of Iran",
Elias Hazrati said.
He added that other options are also under consideration, and stressed that Tehran's primary objective remains the lifting of sanctions.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry also commented on the outcome of the Geneva talks. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran and Washington have made "good progress" and are currently discussing the parameters of a future nuclear agreement.
Araghchi further announced that a new round of Iran-US negotiations is scheduled for next week.
