The Israeli military said it has carried out air strikes on what it described as Hezbollah “infrastructure” in several areas of southern Lebanon.

In a statement, they said it struck a training compound allegedly used by Hezbollah’s Radwan Force for drills, as well as military structures it said had recently been used to store weapons.

"The IDF targeted a training compound that was being used by the Radwan Force unit to conduct training for its operatives to plan and carry out terrorist plots against IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel. The terrorist operatives were undergoing firearms training and instruction in the use of various combat means," the Israeli army's spokesperson said.

The strikes come amid heightened tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border, where exchanges of fire have continued despite diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing a wider escalation.
