Informed sources reported on September 15 that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit Qatar after concluding his diplomatic meetings in Israel.
According to The Washington Post, the trip - scheduled for September 16 - comes amid international concern over Israel's recent strikes against high-ranking Hamas representatives in Doha.
Marco Rubio is expected to discuss with Qatari officials the consequences of the Israeli attack, regional security challenges, and prospects for a peaceful resolution. Key topics will include Qatar's stance on a ceasefire in Gaza and ongoing prisoner exchange negotiations.
This visit follows Secretary Rubio's official trip to Israel, which began on September 14.
