In a final interview for the year, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted Iran's restraint and commitment to engage with the West, as reported by TASS.

"We note that Iranians are showing maximum restraint and are responding to all provocations and blackmail from the West with a readiness for dialogue to find political solutions to the remaining contradictions",

Lavrov stated.

Let us remind you that 2025 US-Iran negotiations on the nuclear deal yielded no results. In June, the US attacked Iranian nuclear facilities as part of Israel's military operation against Iran. In September, the EU3 countries (the UK, France, Germany) initiated the UN Security Council's reinstatement of international anti-Iranian sanctions.
